Just like Dubai, Buzzer almost never sleeps, which means that Friday at Buzzer does not necessarily mean the end of the work week. Sometime during the day, information reached me that a Binance event was taking place the following day in Miami and that perhaps two of our representatives could attend it. Nothing unusual, it was simply one of many similar pieces of information that reach me every single day.
It probably would have ended there if, around 17:30 Central European Time, I had not received another message saying that it would be a good idea for us to livestream the event the next day because there was no streaming company available. Due to issues in the GCC region, the event had been relocated to Florida on very short notice.
At that moment, I still did not even know the official name of the event, but I understood that it was a polo tournament, two matches organized by Binance.US through their PR agency LUNA, together with Santa Clara Polo Club. Half an hour later, after several phone calls, I found out that Buzzer was expected to become the Official Streaming Partner of the Crypto Polo Cup 2026.
The pressure instantly reached maximum levels because, despite the seven-hour time difference between Europe and Miami, we effectively had less than 24 hours to find a streaming partner, organize a production crew, and prepare coverage for one of the most technically demanding sports to broadcast.
A polo ball can travel at speeds of up to 120 km/h, the field is enormous, cameras need to be positioned far from the action and elevated for safety reasons, as horses regularly jump over the field boundaries. Polo is fast, unpredictable, dangerous, and extremely difficult to cover properly.
We had to secure a livestream production crew, organize behind-the-scenes filming, activate clipping support, arrange transportation for the elevated central camera platform because the club did not have one available, prepare Buzzer-branded shirts for the crew, and solve dozens of technical and logistical problems, all within a matter of hours.
Fortunately, our colleague from sales, Philippe Sommer, himself a former professional polo player, always seems to know the right people. Through his connections, we managed to find a crew Hinata Creative Agency - willing to take on such a demanding challenge within an incredibly short timeframe. Even though they had never broadcast a polo match before, their extensive experience with other sporting events proved to be crucial.
On the day of the event, we were finally ready. Two hours before the livestream began, the crew was already on-site, backstage cameras were rolling, content production was underway, and then another problem appeared. We were informed that without a special type of insurance, we were not allowed to stay on the field.
An hour later, after countless stressful calls, favors, negotiations, and a lot of lost nerves, even that issue was resolved.
The livestream went well, the organizers were satisfied, and suddenly Buzzer’s name was being mentioned side by side with Binance, Cake Wallet, Naoris Protocol, and the other sponsors and partners involved in the event.
From the outside, work at this level sometimes appears exciting and glamorous. Pictures from places such as Dubai or Miami naturally look impressive, but what often remains invisible is the army of real people behind everything, people working day and night to ensure that everything Buzzer delivers to its audience reaches the highest possible standard.
Our departments and employees, from the highest to the lowest levels, make enormous sacrifices. Sometimes people work for weeks without proper rest, sacrificing weekends, holidays, and time with their families, all while giving everything they have to help us build the level of service we want Buzzer to become known for.
There is still a long road ahead of us, many things to improve, many lessons to learn, and many challenges waiting in front of us. But moments like this remind us what is possible when people are willing to react quickly, trust each other, and give everything they have under pressure.
If we can organize and deliver a polo tournament livestream in Miami in less than 24 hours, then we can achieve everything else that stands ahead of us as well.
