AM, however, had answers.

In the second period, HH Sheikha Alya Al Maktoum stepped forward with a brilliant goal, energizing her side and igniting the crowd. Tactical discipline brought AM right back into the fight, but Jehangiri managed to retain a razor-thin 5.5–5 edge at halftime.
